I) KNOW OUR TRUST

KOTTAKKAL VIDYABHAVAN CHARITABLE Society is a charitable organization incorporated under the provisions of Societies Registration Act (xxi of 1860) with Registration No 424/2001. The founder members of the society are from the philanthropic upper strata of society interested and involved in many benevolent activities relating to the upliftment of the members of the lower strata of the society, who require support and guidance.

The main objects of the society are to undertake projects and programmers

A) For advancing economic, social, cultural, spiritual, educational, medical status of the people residing in the rural, backward, undeveloped or underdeveloped areas of the society,

B) To start, establish and run institutions to achieve the above objects mainly in rural areas,

C) To do whatever possible for the advancement of the above objects in general and with special reference to

I) Welfare of the physically handicapped

II) Welfare of woman and children

III) Welfare of the members of the under privileged community

The society is managed by a team of philanthropic individuals coming from different strata of society (Names and details the members of the managing committee are appended her with)

II) KNOW OUR PROJECTS

The society is running a full-fledged English medium High School for imparting quality education to the children of the rural areas of Kottakkal, Kerala from 2001 onwards. Kottakkal Vidya Bhavan English Medium High school is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi and Bharatheeya Vidya Nikethan (BVN) Kerala-the Kerala chapter of Vidya Bharati, New Delhi- established to promote National integration

III) KNOW OUR SCHOOL

The school is located around 3.3 acres of eco-friendly seven area surrounded by a beautiful green belt an ambience eminently suited for learning and situated at the outskirts of the Ayurvedic City of Kottakkal ,in Kerala the God’s on Country.

The school has at present 350 students on its rolls.20 class rooms are set up in a built up area of 7500 sq ft The school strives to achieve, the highest scholastic standards, development of refined pattern of behaviours with life skill and an awareness of spiritual values among the students

The school stands for the retrieval our ancient Bharatheeya Samskrithi to suit the growing demands of modern society. This aim is achieved by the adoption and practice of the panchanga sikshanam involving Sanskrit,music,yoga,physical fitness(sareerik sikshan) and moraleducation(naithik) to students,school also strives to instill the great values to

  2. Provide training in leadership
  3. Inculcate dignity of labour
  4. Instill a sense of civil, social ,and moral responsibility
  5. Give a clear background of our national culture
  6. Allow full development of human personality

The school can boast of 100% result in all public Examinations conducted so far .In the area of Extracurricular activities the children excel in items like Music, Dance, Skating ,Chess, Kalary ,Karate, Archery etc..In all these activities students are provided the service of qualified and experienced teaching faculty and devoted staff

The school is now poised to enlarge its activities to rope in more number of students to enjoy these benefits. A clear road map has been drawn to establish the following a additions to the infrastructure of the institution with a Vision for 2015-2025

2016 January- Extensive renovation to class rooms teachers’ room and office room

-Commencement of construction of 3 class rooms in 2 nd floor

-Construction of Sisuvadika Building and an open stage

2016 February –Commencement of Ambadi Day care centre in town

2016 May — Completion of sisuvatika Building

2016 Jun, July –Smart class and Lab modification

2017 January –Indoorstadium-Constraction

2018 June — Vanitha college and ITI Complex Building NIOS and Vocational course starting

2019 June — Commencement of higher Education courses

For women and vocational course for others Commencement of professional studies for the needy- encompassing 1250 students By 2025 the Institution becomes self-sufficient and a major model among the majority run schools of the Area

The society enjoys exemption U/S 80G of the IT Act, for the benefit of Donors (vide order No Tech31/80G(R)/33/CIT/CLT/11/3/2009)
